Dry Skin Treatment in India | Healing Touristry

Dry Skin Treatment in India

Dry skin is an uncomfortable condition marked by scaling, itching, and cracking, even if your skin tends to be oily, you can develop dry skin from time to time. Dry skin can affect any part of your body. It commonly affects hands, arms, and legs.

When your body is thirsty, it needs water, we tend to think that drinking a lot of water can cure dry skin, but the truth is that it's not effective. A normally hydrated person probably won't see a difference in their skin after consuming an increased volume of water.

You should know dry skin is a common side effect of cancer treatment. Both chemotherapy and radiation therapy can cause dry skin. Management of dry skin includes using moisturizer, avoiding things that make the symptoms worse, and protecting your skin until it returns to normal.
The skin is the largest organ of the body as it covers the whole body. Now, the skin is what matters the most. We take care of our skin very much but in many cases, even after taking enough care, our skin is not so moisturized and good. The skin is not hydrated enough and skin gets dry.

When your skin is dry, be sure to:
Close the bathroom door.
Limit your time in the shower or bath to 5 or 10 minutes.
Use warm rather than hot water.
Wash with a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser.
Apply enough cleanser to remove dirt and oil, but avoid using so much that you see a thick lather.

Home Remedies for Dry Skin
Most of the treatments below can be used as moisturizers unless otherwise stated. The best way to use a moisturizer is to apply it liberally to damp skin after a bath and let it soak in.
1. Sunflower seed oil
2. Coconut oil
3. Oatmeal bath
4. Drinking milk
5. Honey
6. Petroleum jelly
7. Aloe vera

If dry skin is on another area of the body, applying aloe vera gel liberally and allowing it to soak in may achieve a similar effect.
