  • Incomplete pigment removal - Not every tattoo can be removed entirely. Incomplete pigment removal is relatively normal. This happens because some dye colors resist laser removal.
  • Scarring - Scarring is somewhat rare given the medical advances in the past decade.
  • Keloid formation - While it is a rare occurrence, a raised, thickened scar can appear up to 3 to 6 months after laser tattoo removal.
